The valleys Brandnertal and Klostertal, as well as the Biosphere Park Großes Walsertal around the Alpine Town Bludenz are located in the south of Vorarlberg, in the westernmost part of Austria, in direct proximity to Switzerland, the principality of Liechtenstein and Germany. The location is ideal for excursions across the borders of Austria.
The Brandnertal with the villages of Brand, Bürserberg and Bürs starts in the immediate vicinity of the of Bludenz in the south of Vorarlberg. The Alpine Town Bludenz is the center of a 5-valley mountain region. Here mountains, nature and city culture go hand in hand. The Klostertal with the holiday resorts Klösterle, Dalaas, Wald and Braz lies between Bludenz and the well-known ski region Arlberg. The Biosphere Reserve Grosses Walsertal with the villages of Thuringerberg, St. Gerold, Blons, Sunday, Fontanella-Faschina and Raggal-Marul can be reached from Bludenz in a few minutes by car.
